Pure Craziness

Had a wonderful but very long and tiring holiday weekend…  Friday we took my grandparents out to dinner at their favorite Texas BBQ place (yes they are from Texas) :O, Saturday the boys had their game and my dad came which was a blast, Sunday after church we went to brunch with friends and then we picked up my Nonna (my moms mom) and brought her over to spend the night!  I was overjoyed that she loved the big dinner I made because she’s such an amazing cook and it seems that nothing is to her perfect liking.  However, after I dropped her off at home on monday she called my mom immediately to rave about the delicious dinner I had made her!!!  SCORE!  :) Monday I made dinner for a friend who just had a baby and OH MY GOODNESS he is GORGEOUS!!!!  I forget how precious and tiny they are as newborns and I’m even more excited for our lil peanut to arrive this summer!!!  Woot woot ;)

I was hoping Monday night I’d go to bed early and get an amazing nights sleep since we had the busiest weekend EVER and sadly I was awakened at 2am to one of our dogs vomiting all over our bed…  :( Then, when I had barely fallen back asleep I was awoken to screams at 5am to my 7 year old who had a HORRIBLE bloody nose!  He NEVER gets bloody noses and it scared him and let me tell you, it kinda looked like a crime scene in his room.  He had stood up on his bed and reached for his wall and smeared the blood all over and it dripped horribly from his nose all over the bed in big drops.  Poor little guy…  It took 20 minutes to stop the bleeding and lets just say I had a mes to clean up and laundry that continued on for miles…  Sheets, blankets and comforters full of blood and vomit!

I wish I could have slept all day but there was too much to clean…  lol  When I picked them up from school I got word that my poor little guy had gotten a bloody nose at school today…  What gives?  I wonder if it’s the very cold weather, allergies?!?  Praying for a good nights sleep because honestly that’s all I want to do!  Tomorrow I have jury duty…  We shall see what fun that brings!  :)

Throughout all of this chaos, I am honestly just so grateful for everything the Lord has given me…  I have a beautiful home that I’m thankful for, two beautiful boys that are healthy and we have another baby on the way, and I have an amazing husband that I’m so blessed by…  He loves me and works so hard for our family!  Through my exhaustion I just realize I’m blessed to have people in my life who I love and want to be around and am thankful for time spent with them no matter how tired it makes me…  And waking up in the night reminds me that I have kids who the Lord has blessed us with and it is an honor to wake up and serve them!  Thank you, Lord, for blessing me beyond my wildest dreams…  You are the ultimate GIVER!  :)

Hope you all have an amazing day, friends…

XOXO

  1. What a blessing it is when in the midst of our exhaustion we’re wise enough to pause and be grateful (especially, because those things we are most grateful for are usually what gives us the most energy :) ).
