Here is a little peek at a couple of my devotionals this week… So good!! We are loved by an almighty God who sent His son to die for our sins and He hates sin so much!! He hurts when we hurt and He’s sympathetic when we grieve. He pours out His unfailing love on us day in and day out, even when we least deserve it! God is in control and He is Lord of all!! He is Redeemer, Healer, our Abba Father. May we all use everything that comes into our lives for His glory! 
It’s been an extremely busy couple of weeks and so to be quick this morning I wanted to share a couple of pictures from the past week… Hope you all have a blessed day!!

The boys and I baked zucchini bread for their teachers this week and it was delicious… I always love any kind zucchini bread, with nuts or without, and I also love chocolate zucchini bread. Mmm mmm. Here is the recipe. You must try it!
INGREDIENTS
3 cups shredded zucchini (2-3 medium) – wrung out so there is no excess liquid
1 2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup vegetable oil (or unsweetened apple sauce)
2 teaspoons pure vanilla
4 eggs
3 cups all purpose flour (or wheat flour)
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
DIRECTIONS
Move oven rack to middle position and heat to 350 degrees.
Grease bottoms of two loaf pans.
In large bowl, stir zucchini, sugar, oil (or applesauce), vanilla and eggs until well mixed.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Divide batter evenly between 8-inch pans.
Bake loaves for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick you insert comes out clean.
Cool in pans on a cooling rack for 10 minutes.
Loosen sides of loaves from pans; remove from pans and place top side up on cooling rack.
Cool completely, about 2 hours, before slicing.
Wrap tightly and store at room temperature up to 4 days, or refrigerate up to 10 days.
This song is soooooo AMAZING!!! LeCrae has it right on in this song… The only thing that matters in this life is a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Everything we do should be to glorify Him and we can’t do things in our own strength… Only through His strength through us! We are to boast only in Him and live a life that reflects to Him, our praise. To God be the glory!

A poem I wrote to highlight the difference between Jesus and false religion. In the scriptures Jesus received the most opposition from the most religious people of his day. At it’s core Jesus’ gospel and the good news of the Cross is in pure opposition to self-righteousness/self-justification. Religion is man centered, Jesus is God-centered. This poem highlights my journey to discover this truth. Religion either ends in pride or despair. Pride because you make a list and can do it and act better than everyone, or despair because you can’t do your own list of rules and feel “not good enough” for God. With Jesus though you have humble confident joy because He represents you, you don’t represent yourself and His sacrifice is perfect putting us in perfect standing with God the Father.
