My Skincare Routine

origins

Recently I’ve gotten some questions on my skincare routine
(thank you for all of the sweet compliments on my skin) and to answer the questions…
First off I use all Origins Skincare.  It’s amazing and I’ve used it since I was 15 years old & swear by it.
Second, I wash and moisturize my face and neck twice daily
(never missing a night…  I NEVER leave ANY makeup on when I go to bed no matter how tired I am)
Third, I wash with cleanser, then use A Perfect World toner,
followed by the serum and then my daily moisturizer or night moisturizer.
(I also use an eye cream at night as well as the GinZing eye cream in the am)
I LOVE the entire line of skincare products and I recommend them all highly! :)

Weekend Recap

boys walking

So as you know Friday I had surgery and was completely out all day…  They released me from the hospital in the afternoon and when hubby brought me home I slept all day, waking only a couple times to kiss my kids and eat a few crackers to help the nausea.  Saturday morning my precious Camden pitched his first baseball game and did amazing…  So proud of my little guy!  :)

That afternoon my little bug said he was going for a ‘walk’ just right around outside and came home with these ‘flowers’ to ‘help mommy feel better!’ Oh my goodness they may not be much to you but I was a happy mommy who feels beyond blessed by such a sweet little man!  :)

I also was blessed by some of my girlfriends who brought me these flowers from the farmers market as a ‘get well’ and they really made my day!

My friend joy also made me homemade chocolate croissants and homemade cookies the day before my surgery so I’d have some more treats to cheer me up…  I seriously am so spoiled by this girl!!  :)
I should have taken a pic of the actual croissants but I thought the bag was so sweet I took a pic of that and now all of the treats are gone!  Lol

This was from my perpetual calendar from the other day and I loved it do much and felt so convicted that I wanted to share…  Love is honorable

Boys wanted to go to Fuddruckers for dinner Saturday night so I mustered up the energy to go…  Coop was being too silly to take a picture but Camden and daddy were cute…  :)

And we walked along the lake afterwards for a bit because it was such a beautiful night…

Sunday morning before church I made this yummy coffee treat and then my parents watched the boys so hubby and I could hang out for a couple of hours…

Then it was back to bed and Hubbers made us a delicious dinner…  After the boys went to sleep we watched a movie in bed and hubs brought me ice cream (also in bed).  Totally spoiled after surgery but I know I shouldn’t get to used to this queen treatment!  Lol I definitely feel like a lucky girl all the way around though!!!

Disappointed that the weather went from 80 degrees and sunny for a week to overcast and rainy…  That was a total teaser and I’m looking forward to more sunshine and BBQ’s in the near future!!
Hope you all have a blessed week!!

Let everything you do be done in love.

Back to the grind!

coop3

Yesterday Cooper’s pediatrician wanted to see him so I took him back in and he put him on new antibiotics…  He was super adorable waiting for the dr…  I swear he has become a little man reading about sports and I just love to stare at him!

I am happy to report that Coop is finally on the mend and feeling so much better (thank you to all who have been praying for us) and he went back to school today and was so excited to finally see all of his friends again after a long Christmas break!  :) I have a very productive day today and am so happy that I had time in the Word, got all of our bags unpacked and everything put away and got all of our laundry done.  I also managed to put away all of the Christmas bins and clean the whole house!  Feels so good to get back to the grind and have our regular schedule going smooth!  I’ve got meals planned out for the rest of the month and I’m happily settled into the Beth Moore David study that was recommended to me (which is fabulous so far and I highly recommend) and I’m also about to start Power of A Praying Wife (AGAIN) by Stormie Omartian because I read it yearly and learn something new from it every time!

Seriously, God is so amazing and He really meets you right where you are!  He knows the ‘season’ you are in and it’s funny how you can read a book or a verse 5 or a hundred times and you get something new from every single time!  You just need to remember to let the Lord guide you continually it says in Isaiah 58:11…  And He will!  He continually directs our steps Proverbs 16:9 says and of course we need to open our hearts and allow Him to move in us.  His work in us never ends and in John 15:5-8 He makes it clear to us when He tells us, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.’  We have been placed on this earth for His purpose and His joy…  So often we get caught up in ourselves when in reality it’s not about us at all…  You have to give up your own plans in order for Jesus to work in your life!  Whenever I fall to my knees at the feet of God and pray, in my brokenness I am complete!  He never fails to make me whole again and that is part of His unfailing, everlasting love!
