Baby Boy Name

About 8 years ago we came up with a baby boy name that we would use if we ever had another little boy…
And now we excited that we do!
We have stuck with the ‘C’ names for boys, and ‘K’ names for girls
and we are in love…  🙂
His middle name is in honor of my sweet grandpa from Italy
that we lost many years ago…
But his spirit sure lives on in me and I get gentle, sweet reminders of him everyday!
His love for me was grand, and my love for him has only grown!
He is always in my heart and I wish he could be here
right now to experience this pregnancy with me and be there when our
little guy enters this world!  🙂
Nonno, I love you so much!

This fall, we are super excited to meet our new little guy…

Cruz Antonio

I can’t wait to nibble on him and kiss him and smell him and hold him in my arms…
EEEEEEEKS…  I just LOVE all of my babies so so much!
There is just something about your babies that is absolutely yours!!!  Mmmmmm

Can’t wait to meet this bundle of ours but for now, I am enjoying his little kicks
and listening to his sweet heartbeat!

Baby Gender Reveal

We are BEYOND thrilled to announce that we are having a baby

We have had a name picked out for our next boy for the past 8 years and we are over the moon that we FINALLY get to use it!
I’ve felt like we have been missing this piece and we can’t wait till he arrives this fall!
Elated that our little Princess will STAY our only little Princess and
she won’t have to compete with another baby girl right now!
The boys were hoping for another brother and desperately wanted Kenley to stay their ONLY little Princess!  😉
I’m ecstatic for my husband too…  He now has his foursome complete for their golf rounds
and I can’t wait for high tea and pedicure dates with my little girl…
Who already wants her toes done on a weekly basis!  🙂

16% of you thought it would be a BOY

I took the Harmony blood test which told me the baby is a boy…
Ultrasound to follow in 6 weeks to confirm, although they say the blood test is 97% accurate!  😉

Mint & Sea Salt Foot Scrub

Happy Friday!  This week has been crazy but I have to try and get back to updates and posting…  I can’t hibernate this whole pregnancy!  😉 This is one of my favorites and I use it about twice a week…  If you’re pregnant and your feet swell you are REALLY going to LOVE this!  This helps my swollen tootsies so much and it feels delectable, helps slough off dead skin and is very soothing to sore muscles!  It also leaves your legs feeling SUPER soft and my husband always knows after I’ve used it because my skin feels so good!  I like to make up a batch and keep it in the shower or by my bath (I’m a bath lover) and the jar lasts a few months before I have to make a new batch!  I use it a couple times a week, although if you’re pregnant with swollen feet you will want to use it more…  Ask your hubby to help out!  😉  Another couple of months and I will have swollen feet and won’t be able to reach my feet so he will come in handy!  haha  Hope you enjoy this goodness as much as I do!  I also makes a GREAT gift…  especially for mamas and Mother’s Day is right around the corner!  Whip up a large batch and  pass it out to the mom’s you know…  They will love you for it!!  🙂

mint sea salt foot scrub

Mint and Sea Salt Foot Scrub

1 1/2 cups sea salt
1/3 cup sweet almond oil (I substituted olive oil this time)*
2 mint leaves, chopped (can omit if you wish)
3-4 drops Young Living Peppermint essential oil
3-4 drops Young Living Spearmint essential oil

Place the seat salt into a medium bowl.
Slowly add the oil, stirring as you pour.
Add the essential oils and mix well.
Add the chopped mint and stir until combined.
Store in a small glass jar (mason jars work well too).

To Use:
Scoop some out and scrub your calves and feet.
Let sit on your legs a couple of minutes and then rinse with warm water.
Make sure and rub some good lotion into your legs after to hydrate!

Enjoy!  The delicious tingly feeling this leaves on my legs is invigorating yet relaxing and it feels so so good!  🙂

* You really can use any oil you’d like…  Fractionated coconut oil would work too.

An Announcement…

Soooo…  I know it’s been crickets around here lately but for a good reason!  😉
Not only has life been VERY busy with baseball everyday for the boys,
but add in chasing a toddler around and household chores and being a chauffeur, laundry, cooking meals, errands, etc, etc, etc….
And it’s just beyond nuts!  I love every minute of it though…
With that being said:

we are thrilled to announce that we are EXPECTING another baby!!!!

So between all of those things and then throw in morning sickness, exhaustion, allergies, insomnia, etc…
I’ve been a bit of a mess lately!  ha
I’m soaking in all of the goodness and could not be more excited for a fun summer with my family,
and then awaiting the arrival of the baby in the fall!  🙂

This pregnancy has been pretty emotional for me after losing our last baby in late October/early November this past year.
A pregnancy loss is never fun, and never good timing but we lost my beloved Grandad in late October
and we found out we lost the baby the day before his funeral.
Not fun and a very sorrowful time for me.

Miscarriage is not something that people like to talk about but the pain is very real and I have yet to ‘get over it’
or stop thinking of the child that I long to see someday in Heaven.
I know that baby is in good hands and I can’t wait to hold it someday!

Pregnancy after a loss has been hard, but also very good!
I daily have to give this pregnancy to the Lord because otherwise I would worry myself to death!
Every little thing that arises gives me anxiety but I know this baby and this pregnancy is in the Lord’s hands as well
and nothing I do could ever change that!

Stay tuned for a gender reveal very soon.
We find out next week what we are having and although I have a hunch, I could be completely off!  😉
Either way, I’m thankful for this child he has blessed us with!

coming fall 2015

Slow Cooker Peach Dump Cake

I made this for the boys a few weeks ago to kick off spring break…  I needed something easy and with ingredients I had on hand and this is seriously as easy as it gets!  I dumped everything into the crockpot and it did the rest…  Magic!  I served it with a scoop of fresh vanilla ice cream on top…  YUM!!!

Things have been crazy busy around here lately and I haven’t really had any time to update or blog, but more on that later!  😉  Hope you all are having a fantastic week so far!  Baseball is in full swing around here and it’s nuts…  I’m exhausted but loving every minute of my crazy blessed life!  🙂

Cadbury Mini Egg Blondies

Y’all, go out and get the ingredients for these treats if you don’t already have everything on hand… These are TO.DIE.FOR!!!!
Make as an Easter treat tomorrow… They are the best! I have been making these since my boys were little and I continue to make a batch, or two, every year when cadburys are in stores! 😉

Wish I would have posted this sooner for y’all, but alas, I have been sick with the crud! 🙁
Spring Break came and went and and I was really sick most of the week and into the next and I’m on the mend, but still yucky and I think my allergies are starting to kick in to boot! :/ Thank goodness for my oils, and lots and lots of water… I am slowly coming out of the hole!

That’s what we are to Him. It’s hard to remember that sometimes, yet it’s so easy to see the negative things stamped upon our foreheads. Failures from the past that are still etched in our minds, or even the way that some may treat you because of something long ago. I am not perfect, and neither are they. Sometimes I see anger, anxiety or failure in myself and I feel like it’s on a sticky note stuck to my back and I am constantly reminded of my imperfections. Memories arise and I’m not proud of things I’ve down or ways I’ve acted. Being a mom is hard work and marriage isn’t always blissful. Bills to pay and laundry to do and Instagram posts plastered with perfection written all over them that blind me sometimes and make me feel like I don’t quite live up to the dream… But what is that dream really? It’s not even real because we mostly want to post the pretty little parts of our day instead of the messes and it doesn’t reflect reality it reflects a fake persona that isn’t real life at all and nobody can live up to such things.

But I am His beloved and I must not forget this… YOU must not forget! He has washed us clean. Past hurts need not define us and perfection is impossible. We are not who we think ourselves to be in those difficult moments when all we can do is be reminded of our shortcomings. We are so much more, we were made for so much more!!! Today I am reminded that I am His and that is more than enough for me! I may not be perfect, but I am perfectly loved!
